David Rudman

David Rudman is the performer of many Sesame Street Muppet characters, notably Baby Bear, and Cookie Monster, for whom he is the replacement Muppeteer for Frank Oz. For his role as Cookie, Rudman was nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Performer in a Children's Series. Rudman also took over as Richard Hunt's half of The Two Headed Monster after his death.

His first production was Rankin/Bass productions such as Rudolph's Shiny New Year.

He is currently the executive producer of Jack's Big Music Show on cable TV's Noggin channel, where he also is the voice of Jack, the lead character.

He is currently the executive producer and director of Bunnytown on cable TV's Playhouse Disney. He is also is co-creator of the show.

Rudman was the speaker at the 2005 graduation ceremony for the Illinois Institute of Art—Chicago. [1]

Attended Highland Park High School (Highland Park, Illinois). Was speaker at the school's Focus on the Arts 2007. [2]

He will also take over two roles once held by Richard Hunt: Scooter and Janice.

In 1992, Richard Hunt died on January 7, around 1991. And, David Rudman performed Sonny Friendly, and Sonia Manzano was Maria, Caroll Spinney as Big Bird, Fran Brill as Prairie Dawn, etc. The animators were Tee Collins, and the set was without Big Bird's barrels:

Sonny Friendly was a little Anything Muppet, around 31 years, when CTW changed its name to Sesame Workshop. And Lulu was first around when Sonny Friendly quited.
